9–11 October 2026 · Marina Bay Street Circuit
A private car and a driver who has read the closure map — booked weeks before the weekend, at a fare that does not move on the night. Book the one trip you actually need: most race-weekend chauffeur services in Singapore hold you to a 10-hour minimum, and some to 30. We do not.
2026 is Singapore's first Sprint weekend, which changes when the crowds leave — and therefore when your car should be waiting.
Booking window: race weekend is the tightest vehicle supply of the Singapore year. Four to six weeks ahead for one car, six to eight if you need several moving together.
How do you get around Singapore during F1 weekend?
New for 2026
Singapore has never run a Sprint before. It adds a competitive session on Friday night and a second one on Saturday afternoon, so instead of one big exit per day there are two on Saturday and a much later finish on Friday. Times are Singapore time (GMT+8) as published by Formula 1 — confirm against the official schedule before you travel.
Friday 9 Oct
Practice 1 · 16:30–17:30 Sprint Qualifying · 20:30–21:14
from 21:15
A late finish on what is normally the quiet day. Sprint Qualifying pushes the Friday crowd out at the same hour a Saturday usually does.
Saturday 10 Oct
Sprint · 17:00–18:00 Qualifying · 21:00–22:00
18:00 and from 22:00
The hardest day to move. Two separate full-crowd exits — many ticket holders leave after the Sprint and return, so the roads spike twice.
Sunday 11 Oct
Grand Prix · 20:00
from 22:00
The single biggest exit of the weekend, plus the post-race concerts. Expect the circuit perimeter to stay shut well past midnight.
Booking a car for all three nights? Tell us your ticket type — general admission, grandstand, or hospitality — because they release at noticeably different times and we set the pickup accordingly.
The circuit is made of public roads, so the closure map — not the map app — decides where a car is allowed to stop. The exact boundary is published each year by the organisers; the pattern below holds every time.
Inside the perimeter
Hotels on the bay — Fullerton, Ritz-Carlton Millenia, Mandarin Oriental, Marina Bay Sands — lose direct vehicle access while roads are live. Pickup moves to a nominated point outside the boundary.
The roads that shut
Republic Boulevard, Raffles Avenue, Esplanade Drive, Nicoll Highway and the Padang approaches carry the circuit or feed it. Assume they are gone from Thursday.
Orchard & the CBD fringe
Outside the closures and largely normal, which is why we often stage race-night pickups here even for guests staying on the bay. Ten quiet minutes beats forty stationary ones.
Getting out, not in
The bottleneck after a session is leaving the area, not reaching it. We position early and wait, rather than setting off when you message.
Hospitality & suites
Paddock Club and suite guests usually clear later than general admission. Give us your expected finish time and the driver holds rather than circling.
Changi transfers
Thursday and Friday inbound, Monday outbound. Both are peak days at the airport for race weekend — pre-booking skips the queue and fixes the fare.
Where you are staying decides how race weekend works for you far more than which vehicle you book. This is how the closures have fallen in previous years — the organisers publish the final map about two weeks out, and we confirm your exact collection point before the day either way.
| Hotel | Vehicle access | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| Marina Bay SandsBayfront | Inside perimeter | Direct vehicle access restricted while roads are live. We collect from an agreed point outside the boundary. |
| The Fullerton / Fullerton BayFullerton Rd | Inside perimeter | Sits on the circuit. Expect to walk a short distance to the vehicle on session nights. |
| The Ritz-Carlton, MilleniaRaffles Ave | Inside perimeter | Raffles Avenue carries the circuit. Collection moves to the nearest open cross-street. |
| Mandarin OrientalRaffles Ave | Inside perimeter | Same closure band as the Ritz-Carlton. Pickup point confirmed the day before. |
| Conrad CentennialTemasek Blvd | Inside perimeter | Has run a designated event pick-up point in past years; we work to whichever is published. |
| Pan Pacific SingaporeMarina Square | Inside perimeter | Marina Square approaches are restricted. Suntec-side collection is usually cleanest. |
| Fairmont / Swissôtel StamfordCity Hall | Edge of closures | Just outside the perimeter. Usually reachable, but slow immediately after a session. |
| Raffles HotelBeach Rd | Edge of closures | Beach Road stays open in most years; approach roads congest after the race. |
| JW Marriott South BeachBeach Rd | Edge of closures | As above — reachable, with delays on the Nicoll Highway side. |
| Orchard Road hotelsOrchard | Outside closures | Unaffected. This is where we stage many race-night pickups even for bay-front guests. |
| Sentosa hotelsSentosa | Outside closures | Unaffected. Allow extra time for the island crossing on Sunday night. |
| CBD / Tanjong PagarDowntown | Outside closures | Unaffected, and a short run to the circuit gates before sessions. |

Moving a group? The 13-seater minibus takes a full hospitality party in one vehicle, and we coordinate multi-vehicle fleets through our MICE transport desk.
We do not apply an automatic percentage to Grand Prix dates. Race weekend is quoted by hand, because what actually drives the cost is which night you travel, which side of the closure boundary you start from, and how long a driver is realistically committed for — and those vary far more than a flat uplift can capture.
What you get instead is a single all-inclusive figure agreed in writing before the weekend. It covers ERP, waiting time, and the driver holding position while you clear the circuit. It does not change on the night — that is the entire point of booking ahead.
And you pay for one trip, not a block. The usual race-weekend model in Singapore is a charter minimum — commonly 10 hours, occasionally 30 — which means paying for a car that sits idle while you are trackside. If you only need the Sunday night, book the Sunday night.
| Timing | What to do |
|---|---|
| 6–8 weeks out | Book if you need multiple vehicles, a specific class, or all three nights. This is when the fleet is still open. |
| 4–6 weeks out | Book a single vehicle. Give us your hotel, ticket type, and expected finish time for each night. |
| 1–2 weeks out | Confirm the pickup point with your driver once the organisers publish the final closure map. |
| Day before | Driver name and mobile number sent by WhatsApp, with the agreed meeting point. |
| On the night | Message your driver as you leave your grandstand. They are already positioned and will confirm the exact spot. |
Every session that weekend runs late afternoon or evening, which leaves the whole of each day free. Plenty of our race-weekend guests add a single free & easy City Tour day — a car and driver for 10 hours, no guide, no fixed itinerary — and go wherever they feel like between the sessions.
City Tour — from 1 day
10 hours with a driver, self-directed, 10% off every booking. Fits neatly into a race-weekend daytime.
Hourly Charter
From 3 hours if you only want a car for a lunch and a couple of stops rather than a full day.
Airport Transfers
Fixed-price Changi runs for the Thursday-in, Monday-out pattern most race visitors travel on.
When is the 2026 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix?
The 2026 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix runs from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October 2026 at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. The main race starts at 20:00 Singapore time on Sunday 11 October. 2026 is the first year Singapore hosts a Sprint, so the on-track schedule differs from previous years.
How does the 2026 Sprint format change transport planning?
It adds a second full-crowd exit on Saturday. In a normal Singapore weekend, Saturday empties once after Qualifying; in 2026 the Sprint finishes at 18:00 and Qualifying at 22:00, so the roads around Marina Bay spike twice. Friday also runs later than usual because Sprint Qualifying ends at roughly 21:14. If you are booking a car for the weekend, plan Saturday around two pickups rather than one.
What time does the F1 Singapore Grand Prix finish?
The race starts at 20:00 Singapore time on Sunday 11 October and runs 62 laps, so the chequered flag falls at roughly 22:00 depending on safety cars. Add the post-race concerts and the walk out through the circuit park, and most general-admission ticket holders are not on a road until 23:00 or later. On Saturday the Sprint finishes around 18:00 and Qualifying around 22:00. Those two Saturday finishes are the reason 2026 needs different planning from previous years.
Do you have a minimum booking for F1 weekend?
No. You can book a single one-way trip — the airport run, one race night, or just the Sunday. Most chauffeur services in Singapore sell race weekend as a charter block with a 10-hour minimum, and some require as much as 30 hours, which means paying for a car that sits idle while you are trackside. We charge per trip at a fixed all-inclusive fare instead.
How do I get to the Marina Bay Street Circuit?
For the journey in, the MRT is genuinely good — Promenade, Esplanade, City Hall and Bayfront all sit within walking distance of the gates and run extended hours on race days. The problem is the journey out, when tens of thousands of people leave at once and the roads immediately around the circuit are still closed. A pre-booked car positioned outside the closure boundary is worth most on the way home, with a group, with luggage, or late at night.
Is there surge pricing after the race?
Not with us. Your fare is agreed in writing before race weekend and does not move on the night, however long you are held up leaving the circuit. Ride-hailing apps typically surge 3–5× in the hour after the chequered flag, which is exactly when the largest number of people are trying to leave at once.
How much does F1 weekend transport cost?
Race-weekend rates are quoted individually rather than taken from the standard rate card, because pricing depends on the night, your pickup zone, and how the road-closure map lands that year. WhatsApp us at +65 9777 5151 with your dates, hotel, and group size and you will get a fixed all-inclusive figure in writing. Our standard fixed fares are the starting point for that quote.
Can my driver pick me up at a hotel inside the circuit?
Not directly during race hours. Hotels inside the circuit perimeter — the Fullerton, Ritz-Carlton Millenia, Mandarin Oriental, Marina Bay Sands and others on the bay — have restricted vehicle access while the roads are live. Your driver collects you from a designated point outside the closure boundary instead, and will confirm exactly where by WhatsApp before you set off.
How far in advance should I book for the Grand Prix?
Four to six weeks for a single vehicle, and six to eight weeks if you need several vehicles moving together or a specific vehicle class. Race weekend is the tightest supply of the year in Singapore — by the final fortnight we are usually turning bookings away rather than quoting them.
Do you cover the airport transfer for race weekend?
Yes, and it is worth booking at the same time as your race-night cars. Changi is at its busiest on the Thursday and Friday before the Grand Prix and again on the Monday after, and a pre-booked fixed-price transfer avoids both the taxi queue and the airport surcharge stacking that happens on those days.
For the background on closures and why on-demand fails that weekend, read our guide to getting around during the F1 night race.
9–11 October 2026. Send your dates, hotel, and group size — you will have a fixed all-inclusive figure back the same day.
