Checkpoint Guide

There are two land crossings into Malaysia. Your driver will advise which is best on the day based on your pickup point and live traffic.

Woodlands Checkpoint (Causeway)

Best for: Central, East, North, and Northeast Singapore

  • ·Busiest crossing — expect queues during peak hours and long weekends
  • ·Connects directly to JB City, Kotaraya, and City Square
  • ·Weekday mornings (06:00–09:00) and Friday evenings are heaviest

Tuas Second Link

Best for: West Singapore — Jurong, Clementi, Tuas

  • ·Generally less congested than Woodlands on weekdays
  • ·Connects to Nusajaya, Gelang Patah, and JB via Senai Highway
  • ·Good option for Genting and KL travellers from west Singapore

What to bring: Singapore IC / passport (all passengers). Malaysia immigration arrival card (completed at the Malaysian counter). All passengers must exit the vehicle at both Singapore and Malaysia checkpoints with their passports. Your driver waits on the other side.

Singapore to Malaysia Transfer FAQ

How do I get a price for Singapore to Malaysia?

WhatsApp us at +65 9777 5151 with your pickup point, destination, date, and number of passengers. We will send you a fixed all-inclusive quote within minutes — covering the vehicle, driver, highway tolls, and checkpoint crossings.

Which checkpoint do you use — Woodlands or Tuas?

For most Singapore and JB city routes we recommend Woodlands (Causeway). If you are travelling from Jurong, Clementi, or west Singapore, Tuas Second Link is often faster. We will advise the best crossing based on your pickup location and traffic conditions on the day.

What documents do I need for the crossing?

Singapore citizens and PRs need their IC or passport. Tourists need their passport. All passengers must disembark at both the Singapore and Malaysia immigration counters with their luggage — the driver waits on the other side. Malaysia arrival cards are filled in at the Malaysian counter.

Can we stop en route — for food or petrol?

Yes. You can request comfort stops at any R&R (rest area) along the Plus Highway. Short stops are complimentary. If you want a longer detour or meal break, let us know in advance so the driver can plan accordingly.

Is a return trip included in the price?

The quoted price is for a one-way trip. For return trips, we recommend booking both legs at once — we can often offer a better combined rate, and it guarantees a vehicle for your return. WhatsApp us to discuss round-trip options.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance for cross-border trips. For peak periods (school holidays, long weekends, Chinese New Year), 48–72 hours notice is advisable. Same-day cross-border bookings are subject to availability.
